I'm fascinated by the beauty and variety of Celtic art. Their knotwork in particular is both simple and complex, and I find it very appealing. There aren't too many rules in designing knotwork, but you do want to make sure that the bands overlap and underlap in perfect alternation. Often there can be more than one band; then they have to work in harmony...
